Remus: high-ryed Whiskey as in the prohibition-era
The original pharmacist George Remus smuggled home-distilled bourbon in Chicago in the 1920s-1933s, during alcohol prohibition in the States. Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a tribute to the bootlegging empire he created back then. Only 5-7-year-old straight bourbons are married together for the whiskey. Before bottling at 47% by volume (94 proof), no chill filtration is used, which means that all the flavoring substances remain in the distillate. Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey impresses with an intense aroma and taste with notes of sweet rye, maple syrup and vanilla. With its classic profile, it is particularly suitable for cocktails such as an Old Fashioned, Manhattan or Mint Julep!
