Cihuatán Rum is El Salvador’s first rum distillery and aims at share this charming spirit with the world. It is crafted in the Cihuatán valley by master blender Gabriela Ayala, who draws the inspiration for the rums from the country’s rich Mayan heritage.
This 8-year-old expression of Ron Cihuatán is inspired by the blue colour Indigo, which was crafted by the ancient Maya. It offers a mild and multifaceted taste experience.
Pleasant aroma of vanilla, cappuccino, dark chocolate, hazelnut and a hint of lemongrass make this rum perfect for sipping and fine rum drinks.
Cinabrio, named after the mineral from which the ancient Maya produced the colour red, is the 12-year-old expression of the Cihuatán rum rang. Aged in ex-Bourbon-barrels, this rum offers a complex aroma of orange peel, plums, pistacchio, toasted oak, sugar cane and ripe starfruit.

Folklore is Cihuatáns limited single cask release series, available only to the most loyal customers worldwide. Inspired by the Mayan concept of duality and creation, Master Blender Gabriela Ayala set out to showcase the duality and synergy between rum and barrel. Folklore Chapter One is called Creación. Perola picked barrel #66, which yielded 218 bottles, 30 of which are available in Singapore. The rum is aged in Ex-Bourbon and subsequently American White Oak for a total of 16 years, and bottled at cask strength. It’s congener level is 217.4mg per 100ml. Cihuatán Xaman is an ultra-premium rum named after the Mayan god of the North Star and protector of the Cihuatán valley. This elegant composition features 15 year-old rums aged in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, which are then finished for 1 year in Mayan Ceiba, a local wood which lends Xaman rich character and alluring profile. Xaman offers notes of grilled pineapple, plums, bacon, clove, balsamic and leather.
