Amatiteña offers artisanal tequila made from 100% agave

Inspired by Amatitán—a small town in the Mexican state of Jalisco where blue weaver agaves have been cultivated since the 18th century—Amatiteña has been combining traditional craftsmanship and 100% agave tequilas with modern flavor profiles since 2023, earning numerous excellent reviews on websites such as agavematchmaker.com.

Brand founder Alberto Partida Hermosillo is a third-generation master tequilero who places particular emphasis on traditional methods during production: for example, stone ovens (hornos) are used to cook the agave hearts. The agaves are then ground using a tahona, a motorized mill with a heavy volcanic stone as its roller. Distillation takes place in a copper still to ensure that the agave aromas are imparted to the tequila with exceptional intensity.
