Fine Gin from Corsica: Mattei Gin

This gin is inspired by the aromatic intensity of the Corsican “Macchia”, the island’s evergreen Mediterranean bush forest. The combination of citric and herbal botanicals create a refreshing, earthy and perfumed gin, which works particularly well in a fresh summerly Gin & Tonic or Southside Fizz. The Mattei Distilled Dry Gin offers intense juniper and citrus notes on the nose as well on the palate. It’s fresh with an unique balanced taste with a smooth finish.

About the L.N. Mattei distillery

The L.N. Mattei distillery is located in Bastia, a commune on the french island of corsica. Since 1872, various aperitifs and liqueur wines have been produced there on the basis of local ingredients. Later, the mattei gin was added, which is also produced with locally grown botanicals and skillfully reflects the terroir of the small island with its aromatic richness.
